We were asked to undertake the major refurbishment of the University of Sheffield Management School Reception. Working closely with the designer and client, we came up with a solution that would make the reception a more usable and welcoming space. We moved the entrance doors to a more central location, allowing us to re-position the desk in a more suitable space. A bespoke desk and storage cupboards behind was manufactured off site and then installed in the new location. Re-positioning the desk and moving the entrance doors allowed us to create a new private office space for 5 members of staff. The ceilings were under drawn and new LED lighting installed. New carpet tiles were fitted to create a feature of the entrance and the feature wall column.
We are particularly proud of this project as we feel it showcases everyone of our in house trades and our reliable subcontractors. We feel we have played a big part in creating a vastly improved reception area that benefits students and staff alike.
